I’m currently working at the Huygens Institute for the History of the Netherlands as a researcher and developer. I’m involved in several research projects and digital infrastructure projects within the fields of Digital History, Computational Literary Studies, Information Retrieval and Recommender Systems. Part of my development work is related to the Dutch research infrastructure project CLARIAH.

I was an Assistant Professor of Information Science and Digital Humanities (2011-2016) at the Institute of Logic, Language and Computation of the University of Amsterdam, as well as the Media & Information group of the Faculty of Humanities.

In 2016 I worked as senior scientific programmer at the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, involved in CLARIAH, a national research infrastructure for Digital Humanities. Specifically I was involved in the work package focused on media scholars and audiovisual media.

My research interests lie mainly in the fields of Digital Humanities, Information Retrieval, Recommender Systems and Information Science.
